one of 50 Cache's that Celebrates the Linn County Conservation's
50th Anniversary
In 2008, the Linn County Conservation Board will celebrate 50
years of service to Linn County residents. A yearlong celebration
is planned to highlight all the outdoor recreation opportunities
available right here in Linn County. In celebration of Linn County
Conservation's 50th Anniversary there will be 50 GeoCaches placed
within various parks and recreation areas in the next year.

Wichiup Hill Nature
Area
Wickiup Hill Natural Area is located along the Cedar River
northwest of Cedar Rapids and is part of the Cedar River Greenbelt.
The Wickiup Hill Outdoor Learning Area is being developed on 240
acres of this 563-acre area.
The comprehensive trail system around the Wickiup Hill Outdoor
Learning Center is coming together very nicely. The new directional
signs, educational stations and information kiosk are all in place
to assist you with your outdoor experience. The various trails at
Wickiup Hill and their distances are as follows:
Prairie Trail 3/4 mile
Wetland Trail 1/4 mile
Savanna Trail 7/8 mile
Archaeology Trail 1 3/4 miles
Hiking Trail 2 1/2 miles
