Geocache Description:

From this micro-cache you can see the birthplace of the super-fabulous Village People.

Looking South from this cache, you can see a triangular building with a large American flag on its roof. Now a hotel, it used to be the Anvil - a famous gay bar in the 1970s and 80s. It was here that Felipe Rose (who is half Navajo) was working one night in 1977 in full Native American dress while bartending. He was spotted by producer Jacques Morali, who recruited him to be the “Indian” - the first member of the disco-riffic Village People.
