Od czasu wojen husyckich Talkenbergowie grabili podrózujacych tedy kupców ile wlezie, a rycerz Bernard Talkenberg zuchwaly byl do tego stopnia, ze razu pewnego w bialy dzien porwal kilku mieszczan wprost z lwoweckiego rynku. W 1479 roku miarka sie przebrala. Krol Maciej Korwin wraz mieszczanami lwoweckimi wyruszyl oblegac zbójecka warownie. Górnicy z Kowar podminowali skaly. Legenda mówi, ze rankiem 1 maja 1479 roku zamek wylecial w powietrze. Nigdy zamku do konca nie odbudowano. Dzis mozna podziwiac resztki ruin na wynioslej skale.
To find the treasure, you have to enter the premises of the castle of one of the most famous of knights-robbers in the vicinity. The castle was built at request of the duke Henryk Brodaty, about 1205, to protect the southern border. In 1360 the castle was overtaken by Talkenberg family. Since the Hussite wars, Talkenbergs plundered merchants wandering through here as much as they liked. The knight Bernard Talkenberg was so brash, that one day he kidnapped for ransom a few townspeople straight from the market in Lwówek in broad daylight. Enough was enough in 1479. King Maciej Korwin with people of Lwówek started to siege the fortress of plunder. Miners from Kowary placed mines in the rocks. Legend has it that the castle exploded on May 1, 1479 in the morning. It was never rebuilt. Today you can only admire the remains of the ruins on a lofty rock.
