The limestone quarries around Cracow provided stone many of the old city buildings are built from. The quarry in Mydlniki is a forgotten, picturesque area of a plateau cut by nearly vertical cliffs.
The easiest route is from the "Mydlniki Stawy" bus stop. If you want a longer, more picturesque, but also harder trip, start from the Mydlniki bus stop, after some 100m turn into Brzezińskiego street, and climb the hill on the left as the houses end. Watch your step: the plateau looks flat and safe but there are some holes in the deep grass, never mind some high vertical cliffs.
