Cmentarz:
Nieopodal mostu na Dunajcu w Biskupicach
Radlowskich znajduje sie cmentarz wojenny z I WS. Pochowanych jest
tu 329 zolnierzy austro-wegierskich, 17 niemieckich, 48 rosyjskich
i 8 o nierozpoznanej przynaleznosci. Projektantem tego cmentarza
byl Robert Motka. Obiekt ten, wraz z sasiadujacym cmentarzem nr 257
jest reprezentacyjny dla VII okregu cmentarnego Dabrowa Tarnowska.
Zalozony zostal na planie osmioboku a otoczony jest niskim murem, w
obrebie którego rosna wysokie topole widoczne z daleko posród
otaczajacych cmentarz pól. W samym centrum cmentarza znajduje sie
11-metrowy betonowy pomnik, do którego wmurowane sa 2 tablice z
inskrypcjami w jezyku niemieckim, których tekst w tlumaczeniu
brzmi:
Wspólna mam byla jedna mysl i tesknota,
która wpedzila nas w smierc: zwyciestwo prawa.
Jak jutrzenka zwiastuje wczesne slonce,
tak purpurowy potok krwi z naszych ran zwiastowal:
dzien zwyciestwa.
Pochowani tutaj i na sasiednim cmentarzu 257 zolnierze polegli
podczas walk o strategiczny obiekt jakim byl most na Dunajcu.

The cemetery:
Near a bridge over the Dunajec river in
Biskupice Radlowskie there is a war cemetery from WWI. 329
Austro-Hungarian soldiers, 17 German, 48 Russian and 8 of unknown
nationality are buried there. The designer of this cemetery was
Robert Motka. The cemetery together with the nearby cemetery no.
257 is representative for 7th cemetery district Dabrowa Tarnowska.
It was designed as an octagon and is fenced with a concrete wall.
Inside grow tall poplars visible from distance among surrounding
fields. Exactly at the center of the cemetery there is an 11 meters
tall memorial with two plaques with German inscriptions fixed to
it. The text runs as follows:
We had one common thought and longing,
which drove us into death: the victory of law.
As a dawn heralds the early sun,
so was the scarlet stream of blood from our wounds heralding:
the victory day.
In this and the neighbouring cemetery no. 257 soldiers are buried,
who died during combats for the bridge over the Dunajec river which
was a strategic object.
