Welcome to Cacheapalooza 5!
Come join us on January 22, 2011 at the
KITCHING CREEK PAVILION in Jonathan Dickinson State Park for the
Fifth Annual Cacheapalooza Weekend.
THE
EVENT WILL LAST FROM 8:00 AM 'til 8:00 PM.
We
are committed to keeping it simple this year but Cacheapalooza 5
will still be a fun filled weekend of Geocaching in beautiful and
mysterious Jonathan Dickinson State Park. Along with the
caching we are also planning many other fun activities for you to
enjoy.
Located between Jupiter and
Stuart, on the East Coast of Florida, this park teems with wildlife
in 13 natural communities, including sand pine scrub, pine
flatwoods, mangroves, and river swamps. The Loxahatchee
River, Florida's first federally designated “Wild and Scenic
River”, runs through the park.
This year, we are planning to have between 150 to 200 new loggable
Geocaches hidden in this diverse 11,500 acre park. Some of
the caches will be extreme, and of course there will be all of the
other types of cache hides as well.
NEW PUZZLE CACHES WILL BE
RELEASED January 17th 2011. REGULAR CACHES WILL BE
RELEASED January 20th 2011. A SELECT FEW WILL NOT
BE RELEASED UNTIL January 22nd 2011.
 
 
The Cacheapalooza Crew is planning something
special out in the North Forty this year that will become apparent
when the caches are published.

We will send out announcements as they become available with a
new feature that Groundspeak just released.
This just in...
ThePark has announced that they will open up the Eagles View Camp
areaby the power lines 60 days before the event. There are 5 sites
that
can hold a maximum of 8 people with a 40 person MAXIMUM total. Call
the front ranger station for details on or after 24
November.
