Geocache Description:

This is being placed in conjunction with the Indianola Spring Fun Fest Event.

There is no need to go near the buildings.
This will ensure the placement of the cache will remain.

Indianola has some of the best water in the state.

Indianola's water source is the Cambrian-Jordan Sandstone Aquifer, which lies approximately 2,600 feet below ground level. The Jordan Aquifer covers nearly all of the state of Iowa and is used by many communities as a major water supply source.

IMU owns and operates four deep water wells that pump an average of one million gallons of raw water per day. The water is locally treated using a lime softening process which reduces the natural hardness to 100-120 parts per million. The plant is designed to treat 3.3 million gallons a day and is currently at approximately one third of that capacity.
