On our tour through the Tuscany, we came to this beautiful place we
want to show you.
Populonia is a small town that is famous for its picturesque
location and the Etruscan tombs. It is a popular tourist
destination in Tuscany. A medieval fortress that surrounds the
center, with a city wall, is located on a steeply rock. From there,
you also get a fantastic view over the bay.
Parking is available here with a fee (free of charge from
8pm)
Since we do not live on site, unfortunately we can not care for
maintenance. Therefore, the big request to you, change logbook if
necessary and don’t forget your pen.

Auf unserer Tour durch die Toskana, kamen wir an diesem
wunderschönen Ort vorbei, den wir euch unbedingt zeigen
wollen.
Populonia ist ein kleiner Ort, der wegen seiner malerischen Lage
und der etruskischen Grabstätten, ein beliebtes Touristenziel der
Toskana ist. Eine mittelalterliche Festung, die das Zentrum des
Ortes mit einer Stadtmauer umgibt, befindet sich auf einem steil
ins Meer abfallenden Felsen. Von dort hat man auch einen
traumhaften Ausblick über die Bucht.
Parkmöglichkeiten sind hier vorhanden, mit Gebühr (ab 20 Uhr
kostenlos).
Da wir nicht vor Ort wohnen, können wir uns leider nicht um die
Pflege kümmern. Deshalb die große Bitte an Euch, Stift und (wenn
möglich) Ersatzlogbuch mitbringen.
Über ein Foto von Euch bzw. von Populonia würden wir uns riesig
freuen!
