La chapelle St ROCH et son promontoire
En route de Fayence à Mons, prenez 5 minutes d'arrêt pour visiter
la chapelle St Roch, située un peu avant l'entrée du village.
Cette petite chapelle du XIIIe remaniée au XVIIe est dédiée à St
Roch , originaire de Montpellier dont la fête vôtive a lieu le 16
août.
elle fût bâtie sur un piton rocheux, qui domine la vallée de la
siagnole, et permet d'avoir une vue superbe vers la Côte
d'Azur.
Attention : le site peut être dangereux pour les jeunes
enfants.
On the way from FAYENCE to MONS, have a 5 minutes stop to visit the
chapel St Roch, situated just before the village of MONS.
This small chapel of XIIIth century, reshaped in the XVIIth century
is dedicated to Saint Roch, native of Montpelier, whose holy day is
on August 16th.
It is built on a rock peak, which dominates the valley of the
siagnole, and allows to have a magnificent view towards Côte
d'Azur.
Attention: the site can be dangerous for the young children.
