Geocache Description:

Public hunting area on the six mile creek.

This cache is a replacement of the original Around the bend (GC11NYX) hidden by Thunderslide and replaced with his permission (thank you!) in the Waunakee Marsh Wildlife Area. The original cache was removed and what could be salvaged is in the new cache. No hints on the new container other than it is small and can hold a few kid trinkets and a log sheet in a separate baggie. The walk about a .5 mile hike to the cache. Please just follow the path. The path is an obvious one. Do not turn onto the path with the new signage towards Governor Nelson State Park. You should have a good signal to within feet of the cache. The path winds around, at times you will go slightly away from the direction of the cache, please just follow the path. If you attempt to follow your instincts (and not the clear path) too soon, you will regret your decision.Permission for placement of this cache was granted by area fish and wildlife manager Kurt Welkey. As a teacher, I include extra credit for my hides. For this cache, extra credit will be given for those who write about their favorite public hunting area caching experience (or non-caching experience) to date.

The Geocache Notification Form has been submitted to Nancy Frost of the Wisconsin DNR. Geocaches placed on Wisconsin Department of Natural Resource managed lands require permission by means of a notification form.
