Geocache Description:

The Dunnville Wildlife Area (known locally as the Dunnville Bottoms) is 4200 acres of public hunting land bordered by the Chippewa River on the south, and Cty Hwy Y and 210th Av on the north.

Along the river, there are some sand beaches with floodplain forest found inland. Also found in the area are prairie and oak savanna. On the hillsides are found oak and other northern hardwoods.

Wildlife commonly found in the area includes whitetail deer, ringneck pheasant, wild turkey, ruffed grouse, cottontail rabbit, squirrel, fox and coyote. Along the river, beaver, river otter, mink, and muskrat may be found.

If you look for this cache during the hunting season it is strongly recommended that you wear blaze orange.

Parking can be found at N44 44.554 W091 50.279.

Placement notification form was filled out; permission to place this cache was granted by Jess Carstens the property manager for Dunnville Wildlife Area.

The cache is winter friendly, but the road may not be.
