Geocache Description:

This cache is a part of the 100th Anniversary Geocaching Challenge.  This program celebrates the 100th Anniversary of the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County.  The program will kick off on October 14, 2012.  For more information see the website www.dupageforest.com or call Fullersburg Woods at 630-850-8110.

The first piece of property for this Forest Preserve was purchased in 1929.  Today, this preserve is used frequently by picnickers and fishing.  The lake is stocked yearly with trout and other fish for fishing enthusiasts.

The cache you are looking for is a clear container that is located in an area where during the spring you can see a carpet of Trout lilies.  This native wildflower is unique because it’s bloom occurs once every seven years.  Also, while you are caching, keep on the lookout for large red oak trees and hickories.
