These trails on the north East side Above the swimming area are great for hikers, the nature trail it self is 6.5 miles with alot of side trials. The cache is about 100 to 150 ft. off nature trial.
Belva Deer Recreation Area is the Keokuk County Conservation Board's largest and most heavily used area. It is located two miles east and two miles north of Sigourney. Facilities at the 1,669 acre park include eight picnic shelters, camping areas, showers with flush toilets, eight miles of hiking and horse trails, seven fishing ponds, and a 260 acre lake. The lake has a large beach area on the north side of the lake with plenty of space for family gatherings.
New Spring of 2012 the north RV camping grounds have newly paved road and campsites.
