another in my CR park series but this one has a history lesson. 100 years ago this famous highway was opened from New York to San francisco. This summer will be a huge celebration and procession of cars driving the entire distance. I will be among them. There was recently a cache muggling here so be stealthy.
To find the cache you must first locate the stone. on the stone is a plaque. on the plaque are two dates. convert the dates to all numbers and label the numbers in order from A-M the final is located at: N 41˚ ED.(C+L)LG w 91˚ GH.ADE this is part of my new park series. some of the parks are the result of poor city planning and are really just remnants that were of no use otherwise. some of these parks are so small that it is really hard to access them and nothing to do when you get there. park is closed from 2200-0600. if you are here after hours you will very likely get police harassment. permission by Katie from CR Park and Rec.
be careful not to park on the main drag. this is a high traffic short cut. park on the side streets.
enjoy the Lincoln Highway. 2013 is the 100th year of the first cross country route.
It seems that someone has been stealing caches from this park so make sure to replace it as you found it and find it unsuspiciously.
