Geocache Description:

Ilves trail is a lighted recreation route in Heinola between Jyränkö and Vierumäki passing north-south along the esker Heinolanharju. There you can hike or ride a bicycle, but in winter the route is for skiing.

Kerrotaan, että aikoinaan Pyssyharjua on käytetty passipaikkana petoja metsästettäessä. Harjun alla olleeseen aukkoon on laitettu haaska ja ylhäältä harjulta on ammuttu saalis haaskalle. Tästä lienee Pyssyharju saanut nimensä.
Tänä päivänä harjun liepeillä on ainoastaan kätköilijöille tarkoitettu 'haaska'.

It is said that Pyssyharju has been a place for hunting predators - a carcass below was used. This is probably how Pyssyharju got its name.
Today, there is only a 'carcass' for cachers.
