Saturday Jan 31st - 8:00 a.m.
Please join us to show the Tucson Community the positive side of Geocaching and how Cache In Trash Out events impact our environment."
We'll be gathering at 7:45 AM (0745 for you military types) and begining the cleanup @ 8:00 AM, just shy of the NE corner of North Ridgeway & Pima Rd.
Parking is available just outside the apartment blockwall. Just look for the group of people wondering around , unless you arrive there first.
From there we'll go on a clean-up walk for about one-half of a mile, depending on wash conditions. Our ETC (estimated time of completion) should be < 2 hours.
Trash bags, some gloves, grapplers, and cold water will be provided. Please remember to bring supplies to make the day safer (sunscreen, extra CITO supplies, your favorite gloves, hats, smily face, etc.)
As many of you already know Southern Arizona GeoCachers have officially adopted this stretch of the Alamo Wash. Checkout the following website: http://www.tucsonaz.gov/tcb/aapcurrent.htm
CITO History: On March 25, 2006 geocachers from all over Southern Arizona met for the first time to take on the duties of cleaning the Grant Road to Pima Street section of the Alamo Wash and have done an excellent job at keeping it clean. We were officially recognized on September 9, 2006 through Tucson Clean and Beautiful as having adopted the wash and a sign was erected to let the public know.
