Geocache Description:

14th March is referred to as Pi day as using the date format mm-dd-yy it is written as 3.14, the first three digits of Pi. In 2015, Pi Day has special significance because on 3/14/15 at 9:26:53 the date and time represent the first 10 digits of Pi: 3.141592653...

The event will take place from 9am - 9:30am at St George's Market in the main seating area (the one with the benches). There are several entrances into the market, I have marked the closest one to the event location as a trailhead. The FTF draw will take place at "Pi Time" 3/14/15 at 9:26:53am but the log will still be available until 9:30, after which you can stay on and chat, peruse what the market has to offer or head into town to find a last minute Mother's Day present (most likely scenario for me!) There are no access and age restrictions so all are welcome, if you are visiting the city for St Patrick's Day then why not come and meet some local cachers and maybe discover a Geocoin or two?

Pi and Souvenirs
There will be not one, but TWO Pi Day profile souvenirs available on the day of the event! :)
You can get one for just logging "attended" on this Pi Day Event, and a second one if you log a Mystery Cache on the same day. There may (or may not) be a new mystery cache appearing close to the event location soon...

St George's Market
St George’s Market is one of Belfast’s oldest attractions. It was built between 1890 and 1896 and is one of the best markets in the UK and Ireland. It has been selected for numerous local and national titles and awards for its fresh, local produce and great atmosphere. It holds a weekly Friday Variety Market, the City Food and Craft Market on Saturdays and the Sunday Market. It also hosts a range of events throughout the year.

Saturday is the City Food and Craft Market offering a huge range of local, continental and specialty foods including meat and fish, cheese, coffee beans, tapas and organic products. There is no obligation to purchase any food to participate in the event although if you wish to pay homage to Pi you can of course go for something circular such as a crepe, a Belfast Bap or even a pie!
