Leipzig im Fadenkreuz

Laut Duden ist ein Fadenkreuz eine Markierung in Form zweier senkrecht aufeinanderstehender dünner Striche zum präzisen Anpeilen. Umgangssprachlich verstehen wir darunter, etwas im Fokus zu haben, ins Visier oder unter die Lupe zu nehmen. Und genau das ist der Sinn dieses Caches: mit offenen Augen spazierst du durch Leipzigs Innenstadt - ganz bewusst, ohne Alltagsstress, ohne Shoppinghetzerei. Ein Bummel, bei dem du keine Dose suchst, sondern interessante "fotogene" Details. Und vielleicht kann auch der eingefleischte Leipzig-Kenner dabei noch Neues entdecken oder erfahren.

Das brauchst du:

• internetfähiges Smartphone oder Tablet
• Digitalkamera für Beweisfotos
• einen Zettel mit deinem Nicknamen und Datum
• Stift und ausgedrucktes Profi-Arbeitsblatt (oder alternativ Schmierzettel)
• Zeit und Lust, eine Runde von ca. 5 km in gemütlichen 3 Stunden durch die Innenstadt zu spazieren und dabei ein paar leichte Aufgaben zu lösen (ebenerdige Strecke, die prinzipiell auch für Rollstuhlfahrer geeignet ist)

Die Listingkoordinaten verweisen auf den Turm des Neuen Rathauses. Da musst du nicht hoch, du kannst das Kletterzeug also zu Hause lassen! Begib dich stattdessen zum Hauptportal des Gebäudes. Dort findest du zwei große Tafeln, eine Links und eine Rechts, mit den nötigen Informationen:

Da die gewünschte Informationsfülle zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten immer sehr subjektiv ist, haben wir unsere Erläuterungen spartanisch gehalten. So ganz konnten wir uns ein paar Fakten (manchmal mit einem Augenzwinkern) allerdings nicht verkneifen, denn immerhin bist du in Superleipzig unterwegs, der Stadt der Superlative und Rekorde. Da wären z.B. die weltweit ältesten gefundenen Holznägel (>7.000 Jahre), Deutschlands erster Hundewaschsalon (2005) oder die zufriedensten Einwohner Europas (laut einer Studie der EU von 2007).

According to the thesaurus, a crosshair is a marker in the form of two mutually perpendicular thin lines for precise targeting. Colloquially, that means having something in focus or to take a close look. And that is exactly the purpose of this cache: with your eyes open, you will be walking through Leipzig's city center - without everyday stress and shopping fever. A stroll in which you do not look for a box, but interesting "photogenic" details. And perhaps even the diehard Leipzig connoisseur can discover or experience something new.

You need:

• internet-enabled smartphone or tablet
• digital camera for photo proof
• a piece of paper with your nickname and date
• pen and the printed professional worksheet (or alternatively, some paper for notes)
• time and desire to walk a round of ca. 5 km in a leisurely 3 hours through the city center and solve some easy tasks (ground-level route, which is in principle suitable for wheelchair users)

The listing coordinates point to the tower of the New City Hall. You do not have to go up there, so you can leave the climbing gear at home! Instead, head to the main portal of the building. There you will find two panels, one Left and one Right, with all information you need:

Since the desired wealth of information for the sights is always very subjective, we have kept our explanations short. But we could not resist a few facts (sometimes with a twinkle in the eye), because after all, you are in Superleipzig, the city of superlatives and records. Worth mentioning for example the world's oldest found wooden nails (> 7,000 years), Germany's first dog launderette (2005) or the most contented inhabitants of Europe (according to a study by the EU in 2007).
