Le Nid - "The Nest "
Located on the 32nd floor of the Tour Bretagne, Le Nid is a piece of art created by artist Jean Jullien in 2012 on the occasion of the Voyage à Nantes first edition. This place is home to a giant unidentified white bird: is it a heron, a stork or maybe an allegory of the Capitoline geese watching over the city ? Because you can contemplate the City of the Dukes (one of Nantes nickname) from a 360° panoramic view from up here.
Access to the Nest
The entrance is located on the Place de Bretagne. There is a fee for entry to the Nest: €1 per person, free for children under 12 accompanied by a legal guardian and free for Pass Nantes holders. Le Nid is not open 24/7 (closed on monday and tuesday during school terms), I strongly suggest you to prepare your visit in advance by checking the opening hours on this website.
