Summer CITO Weekend Outside the Park

That's right. 3days 2nights just outside BEAUTIFUL YOSEMITE at the south entrance. between Fish camp and Wawona @ Goat Meadows. also you dont have to come for the whole weekend you can come just Saturday morning if you want. We will start around 9-10am Saturday
Where:
This year we will be at the Snow play area at Goat Meadows we came here last year for one night it looked like a good place to do a CITO it is free camping. it's dry though no water or Toilets. Lots of room to Tent camp bring the RV, or Trailer nice big asphalt flat parking area. I will have a portable shower/toilet for anyone who wants to use it. I will also bring a lot of water. Im sure there will be a campfire and smores

When:
You can arrive as early as you want Or (Friday). The work part of this Event will take place on Saturday, for an Hour or so. You can stay longer if you want I think up to14days . Plan on some just cleaning up trash. Dress appropriately, and bring lots of water, some food and Clothes you can get dirty. You will be at 5600ft it can get cool at night and warm in the day. Lots of Near by Geocaches and then the ones in the park. prefect place to car pool from, if your going into the park. You can even take the back door into the park bypassing the park entrance and the traffic. But you need a 4x4 or hi clearance vehicle

What: Stooping, bending and picking up stuff will be involved
Bear
Facts: Yosemite has a bear problem. But not here The food is way better in the Valley. Camped here a couple times and no sign of Yogi or BooBoo.

Bring Gloves and something to get dirty in
Groceries are at Wowona (small store),also a small store 15min away in Fish Camp or 60 minutes away at Yosemite Village depending on traffic. Glacier Point is about 45 minutes away along the Glacier Point Road to the east.
