Geocache Description:

Located in Lizard Mound County Park. Commonly known as an Effigy Mounds area. Very unique. There is only one trail but it is very serpentine in order to go past all the historic effigy mounds here. DON'T TAKE SHORT CUTS! The waypoint and the cache are past all the historic mounds so no sensitive area need be walked upon. Entrance is on Hwy A.

Kid Friendly No Dogs Allowed Bicycles not permitted on paths
Off-trail Hiking Required

I answered a for sale ad on Groundspeak. It was for a complete cache, free but for postage. The owner, Rebecca, was giving up geocaching for unstated reasons. I decided to name it after her. Lizard Mound apparently has the greatest concentration of effigy mounds in the country. The park also has a great, narrated nature trail. The cache is a very full one gallon cereal container wrapped in camo netting. Feel free to thin out the items. The park is boardered by farmland and the farmers have used barbed wire for fencing! Please avoid caching after dark because of that.

Take either trail until you end up at the far southeast end of the trails. It will be a short and pretty easy walk off trail from there.
