Back in 2002, the home county of cacheKidds #2 was without a cache so we decided to place one there. This is an interesting, rarely visited park in Warren County. Check out the website above to find out the history of the Native Americans who dwelled here long before any of us did!
You can reach the parking lot by following the signs from Hwy 92 E of Indianola, near Ackworth. Once parked, follow the trail into the trees. The hike is not too difficult in terms of terrain but the round trip is about 2 - 3 miles. You will come to a couple of forks in the trail but don't worry, as long as you keep moving north, you will be OK. However, left is much shorter than right.
Time of year will also determine difficulty level in reaching the cache due to vegetation changes. GPS signals can bounce around, especially in the summer so a good device and patience may be required. Bring bug spray and look out for poison ivy, too.
