W czasie II wojny światowej w Bolesławcu działały dwie filie niemieckiego nazistowskiego obozu koncentracyjnego Gross-Rosen: AL Bunzlau I i AL Bunzlau II. Podobóz AL Bunzlau I powstał w maju 1944 r., natomiast AL Bunzlau II – w październiku 1944 roku. Oba były przeznaczone wyłącznie dla mężczyzn.
Obóz pracy Bunzlau II zaczął działać znacznie później niż Bunzlau I – dopiero 2 października 1944 roku. Obóz mieścił się III i V piętrze budynku fabrycznego zakładów Concordia Spinnerei und Weberei przy Concordiastraße (obecnie ul. Orla). Więźniowie zatrudnieni byli przy montażu samolotów wojskowych. Pracowali m. in. przy produkcji skrzydeł do samolotu myśliwskiego Focke-Wulf 190. Liczba więźniów nie jest znana.
Ewakuacja obozu rozpoczęła się 11 lutego 1945 roku. Miejscem docelowym był obóz Mittelbau, gdzie kolumny więźniów dotarły dopiero 15 marca 1945 roku. Z Bunzlau II dotarło tam jedynie 440 osób. Na początku kwietnia 1945 r. zostały one ponownie ewakuowane do KL Bergen Belsen. Tam 15 kwietnia 1945 r. wyzwoliły ich wojska brytyjskie.

Während des Zweiten Weltkriegs waren in Bolesławiec zwei Abteilungen des deutschen Konzentrationslagers Gross-Rosen tätig: AL Bunzlau I und AL Bunzlau II. Das Außenlager von AL Bunzlau I wurde im Mai 1944 und das von AL Bunzlau II im Oktober 1944 eingerichtet. Beide waren nur für Männer gedacht.
Das Arbeitslager Bunzlau II wurde viel später als Bunzlau I in Betrieb genommen - erst am 2. Oktober 1944. Das Camp befand sich im dritten und fünften Stock des Fabrikgebäudes der Concordia Spinnerei und Weberei in der Concordiastraße (heute ul. Orla). Die Gefangenen waren in der Montage von Militärflugzeugen beschäftigt. Sie arbeiteten unter anderem bei der Herstellung von Tragflächen für das Kampfflugzeug Focke-Wulf 190. Die Anzahl der Häftlinge ist unbekannt.
Die Evakuierung des Lagers begann am 11. Februar 1945. Ziel war das Lager Mittelbau, in dem die Häftlingskolonnen erst am 15. März 1945 eintrafen. Nur 440 Personen kamen aus Bunzlau II. Anfang April 1945 wurden sie erneut in das KL Bergen Belsen evakuiert. Dort wurden sie am 15. April 1945 von britischen Truppen befreit.

During World War II, two branches of the Gross-Rosen German Nazi concentration camp operated in Bolesławiec: AL Bunzlau I and AL Bunzlau II. The sub camp of AL Bunzlau I was established in May 1944, while AL Bunzlau II - in October 1944. Both were intended for men only.
The Bunzlau II labor camp began operating much later than Bunzlau I - only on October 2, 1944.
