Gostyń. Śladami historii... #06 Traditional Geocache

Budynek obecnego kina powstał w 1935 roku, przy ówczesnej ulicy Dobramyśl, jako Dom Świetlica im. Józefa Piłsudskiego, należący do Związku Strzeleckiego w Gostyniu. W roku 1936 uruchomiono tu pierwsze w mieście stałe kino dźwiękowe "Słońce". W latach 1946 i 1950 odbywały się tutaj pokazowe procesy Żołnierzy Wyklętych. W 1951 roku zmieniono nazwę kina na "Nysa". Obecna nazwa "Pod Kopułą" obowiązuje od 2005 roku.

The building of the present-day cinema was raised in 1935, in the former Dobramyśl Street, as a day room of Józef Piłsudski Memorial. It belonged to the Riflemen's Association of Gostyń. In 1936 the first in town permanent sound cinema "Słońce" (The Sun) was started here. In the years 1946 and 1950 public show trials of the Cursed Soldiers, from Polish resistance movements, took place here. In 1951 the name of cinema was changed to "Nysa". And the current name "Pod Kopułą" (Under the Dome) operates since 2005.
