Geocache Description:

This is a virtual multicache. It will take the finder on a tour of Key West spots that have some significance to Jimmy Buffett.

The tour starts at Jimmy's first apartment in Key West. What's the inscription that's on the oval plaque above the steps.

From the listed coordinates subtract.015N and add .012W to see where Jimmy "stumbled next door to the bar" in "Tryin' to Reason with Hurricane Season". What's the name of the bar in back?

Next add .114N and .183W to see the place that claims to have been the inspiration for the "Cheeseburger in Paradise". They claim that Jimmy used eat cheeseburgers here often. I used to ask for the name on the sign however the place has since closed.

Add .157N and.409W and we'll go to have a "Blue Heaven Rendezvous". Notice the roosters wandering around under the tables.

From here we'll add .246N and .007W to get to Jimmy's restaurant and store. Feel free to have a margarita while contemplating the next stop.

Add .038N and subtract .049W and you can be "goin' down to Fausto's, get some chocolate milk" as in "My Head Hurts, My Feet Stink and I Don't Love Jesus". What's the full name of this place.

Your next stop is found by adding .140N and .212W. Here's a great place of it's own with a long history. There are several reason to include this place, one of which is mentioned in "Last Mango in Paris". Take your time here. What are the dates that are printed on the sign.

Add .117N and subtract .177W and you'll find yourself at our last stop on the tour. This nondescript building is Jimmy's recording studio. Give me the text from the red and white sign that's on or near the door.

UPDATE: The sign was oversprayed with white paint. The text is no longer legible so just enjoy the fact that this is the studio.

That concludes this Trail of Margaritaville. Since you're here, follow the dock a bit further north and stop by my favorite place here, Schooner Wharf. After enjoying himself at Schooner Wharf, journalist Charles Kurault wrote of the place, "This must be the center of the universe." The Breakfast Club starts the flow of beer at 8:00 a.m. and it does not stop until 4:00 a.m. Schooner Wharf was voted best locals' bar six years in a row, and it is easy to understand why. Just sit back and enjoy. Live music is usually on stage and you can toe tap your way to having a really great time here. If it's Wednesday through Sunday, between 12 and 5, stop in and listen to Michael McCloud.

Hope you enjoy it. Be sure to e-mail your answers to me to verify your find, don't post them here even if encrypted.
