Geocache Description:

This monument lists the names of the men from Austin who gave their lives for our country in World War II.

If you are like me and were lucky enough to have been born in Austin or if you have just been in Austin awhile you have probably driven by this site. I have numerous times and never stopped to see what it is. This gives you a reason to stop and see the monument and why it is here. I have a distant relative listed on the monument and this is why I finally stopped to see it.

In order to verify your visit to this cache please answer the following question:
There are nine columns of names. What is the name listed at the TOP of the first and last column?

With wars in the news every day lets hope and pray Austin will not need a new monument for a new war in the future.
