But what a track! This must be the most beautiful ex-high security penal colony in the world.
Definatley not a drive by, but the walk should take a lot less time then posted at the trailhead. We took our time, ate lunch, stashed a cache, visited the beach, and were finished in just over half the posted time.
In summer you will want to bring water, sun block, and a hat (with chin strap!) as the vegetation is low and does not provide shade.
