DK Området ved Svartafoss er et af de dejligste grønne områder mellem Tórshavn og Hoyvík. Et velanlagt stisystem gør det muligt at gå korte eller lange ture, og nyde den dejlige natur, selvom man faktisk er midt i byen. GB The area around Svartafoss is a beatifull green area between Tórshavn and Hoyvík. A well-made path system makes it possible to take a short or a long walk, enjoying the nature, allthough you actually are in the middle of the town.
DK Der er mange måder at komme til cachen på, men vil du have en dejlig naturoplevelse ud af det, vil vi foreslå, at du starter ved N 62.01.598 W 006.46.218 (samme sted som til geocachen Boðanes) og går mod N 62.01.585 W 006.46.313. Her går en sti ind i det 300.000 m2 store naturfredede område. Følger du stien, vil du snart komme til at gå langs Hoydalsá, som er en af de største åer på Færøerne. Hoydalsá løber fra Villingadal, gennem Svartafoss og ud i Boðanes. Følg denne sti, frem til Svartafoss, og nyd naturen. Navnet “Svartafossur” betyder “sort vandfald”. Svartafoss har været nævnt i mange digte og er et yndet udflugtsmål. Mange brudepar får taget deres brudebillede her. Hav madpakken med. Der er borde og bænke lige i nærheden! Da det er et yndet udflugtsmål - husk at passe på “mugglers”. Cachen ligger i 2 plastikbeholdere.In GB.. There are many ways that you can get to the cache, but if you will have a nice view of the nature, we will suggest that you start at N 62.01.598 W 006.46.218 (the same spot as to the geocache Boðanes) and walk towards N 62.01.585 W 006.46.313. On this point, a path will lead you in to the 300.000 m2 big concervation area. Follow the path, and you will soon be walking beside Hoydalsá, one of the biggest streams in the Faroes. Hoydalsá is running from Villingadal, through the cascade named Svartafossur and out in the sea at Boðanes. Follow this path, around in the area, until you come to Svartafossur, and enjoy the nature. The word “Svartafossur” means “black cascade”. Svartafossur has benn mentioned in many poems and is a loved place for picnic. Many newmarried couple are taken their wedding picture here. Have your lunch pack with you. There are tables and seats nearby. As many people like to go here – take care of mugglers! The cache is in 2 plastic box.
