Penny Pines Plantation Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Kosh Naranek: As this cache has been in need of maintenance for a period well in excess of the "few weeks" contemplated by the guidelines, and there's been no further action on repairing this cache, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache in the immediate future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the current guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it."

Geocache Description:

A bit more than a park and grab, in a nice area of the Cleveland National Forest
(so an adventure pass is required to park here).

Nice picnic area at the top of the hill above Lake Elsinore, at the turnoff for Killen Trail.

There are several picnic tables, a "pit toilet", and handicapped access ramps.

The grove of pine trees makes this a great place to spend a few minutes, or hours.

Regular size cache, not in a wheelchair accessable area,
but most folks would have little or no trouble getting to it.

Up the hill from the parking, and up a nice hiking trail from the road.
Definately a great trail for a quick scenic walk!
