Geocache Description:

Blanche Grimes was born in 1899. She died in 1900; didn't even make it to her 1st birthday. She was buried in what is called Columbia country where no one recalls her parents or circumstances of her death. Where there is a small cut in the forest with trees overhanging, on a plot of land measuring about 30' X 30' that no one lays claim to there has stood a lone grave not 20 feet from the gravel road; the only grave within miles and miles. Generations have come to pay homage, to leave a gift befitting a less than one year old child, and wonder. Where newcomers to the area search out to see for themselves the lone grave and say a prayer. Where high school kids have come for generations to gather around the grave site and tell spooky stories well into the moonless night.

The sign in log is within the confines of the white picket fence (18" X 24")surrounding the grave. This is NOT a take something/leave something cache. Rather it is only a leave something cache after you sign the log book. Got an extra doll, bouquet of flowers, teddy bear or garland? Blanche would surely like them.
