Geocache Description:

Rockrun Cemetery

Small cemetery with a BIG view.

Path from cemetery to scenic view 39 05.251N 082 40.885W

You will see it as you arrive into the cemetery-far left.

Enjoy a scenic drive to this tucked away little cemetery, which overlooks Jackson Counties best kept secret - Lake Katherine.

Cemetery is very small.

Please respect the park if you choice to go outside the cemetery boundary. Lake Katherine is a wildlife preserve.

Cache is a regular Ammo Box -inside you will find goodies

and maps to Lake Katherine trails if you wish to see

more spectacular sites inside the wildlife preserve.

Please be careful of the cliffs...and the vulture roost.

Closed at dusk.

I often compare Lake Katherine to Hocking Hills - both have beautiful scenery,

rock formations, streams, flora and fauna.

My husband took me here several months ago. I was overwhelmed by the beauty - and only 30 minutes away from my home! Quite angry he didn't bring me here sooner!!

The hiking trails are on the other side of the lake. You will have to drive to them.
