This cache is located in a closed section of Van Vechten Park. There is no parking in this area. The closest place to park is in the street, across from the entrance near the playground equipment. Permission to place this cache in a City Park was given by Dave Kramer of the Cedar Rapids Parks and Recreation Department. It should be an easy find.
This cache was placed by the Girl Scout Troop #3138. The name of the cache includes the first initial of each of the six girls in the troop. It was part of a project that included learning about geacaching and GPS technology, finding geocaches, and placing this one.
The cache contains a logbook and a pencil only. You may want to bring your own pencil. Please place the cache back where you found it.
