Saturday, July 4, 2015Connecticut

[4042] Holidays in the US, day 15. Today we left Newport, but before we took the road to Mystic, we stopped at the Fort Wetherill Park to find some caches.

As we arrived in Mystic, we headed for this challenge first, before we went to the seaport. I fulfill the row below and the last column, if foreign states are also accepted.

Row 5:
# I own 21 caches. (10+)
# I own 18 trackables (5+)
# I logged a cache each of the 366 days,
so also on Christmas Day.
# Trackable with highest mileage: 85045 km=52844 mi (+15000 mi)
# Found 1399 puzzle caches (+50)

Column 5:
# caches in all 16 German states, called "Bundesländer" (+10 states)
# 8x 5/5 (1)
# 2 caches on Feb, 29th (1)
# 4041 finds (+1000)
# Found 1399 puzzle caches (+50)

Thanks for the challenge, which was an easy find outdoors and first find in Connecticut.

infoA Mystery Cache is the “catch-all” of cache types, this form of cache can involve complicated puzzles you will first need to solve to determine the coordinates. The only commonality of this cache type is that the coordinates listed are not of the actual cache location but a general reference point, such as a nearby parking location. Due to the increasing creativity of geocaching this becomes the staging ground for new and unique challenges.
