I noticed this puzzle had been published just before 6pm. I had a quick look at it and the numbers tumbled out in about a minute. It was more than 40km away, but the kids wanted to try an FTF raid into Sussex, so we set off.

We hit trouble almost immediately. We couldn't get to the A3 as the road through Puttenham was closed due to an accident (and was still closed on our return 3 hours later). So I diverted to Elstead and found that that road was closed as well. We eventually got through to Petworth and found that its centre was closed for a street party.

So nearly an hour after we set off we finally reached the GZ. There were dozens of trees matching the hint, and the GPSr wasn't much help to us, but after our journey we weren't going to give up. Quite a tricky hide but I found it - and we very pleased to see an empty log.

infoA Mystery Cache is the “catch-all” of cache types, this form of cache can involve complicated puzzles you will first need to solve to determine the coordinates. The only commonality of this cache type is that the coordinates listed are not of the actual cache location but a general reference point, such as a nearby parking location. Due to the increasing creativity of geocaching this becomes the staging ground for new and unique challenges.
