Found it DK_Titan found 245-Route 66

Friday, May 20, 2011California

When we started planning our three week geocaching trip to the US, we spotted the Route 66 trail and the E.T trail. The latter fitted perfectly with our planned route from Grand Canyon to Yosemite, but a few days after we had booked motels in Rachel and Tonopah, the trail disappeared, and we immediately turned to plan B, which was to make a detour along Route 66. We are happy for that decision. First of all we had two days of fun hunting for caches along Route 66 and secondly, after that we had a great trip along the Sierra Nevada mountains towards Lake Tahoe.

As already indicated we divided the powertrail in two, doing the last half on day one and the first half on day two. We visited all caches but had a bunch of DNFs (especially on day one).

We had the pleasure of meeting a bunch of other teams on day two. At no. 265, three very effective Canadian teams (danielwest76, Chartmaker and masterninja50) caught up with us. Thanks for the collaboration with the next few caches. We also met Woody1946 and said hello to camsoradap and Silent Confusion.

This cache was found at 14.25. Micro milestone (13500)

Thanks for the cache and greetings from Denmark!

infoThis is the original cache type consisting, at a bare minimum, a container and a log book. Normally you'll find a tupperware container, ammo box, or bucket filled with goodies, or smaller container ("micro cache") too small to contain items except for a log book. The coordinates listed on the traditional cache page is the exact location for the cache.
