Found it DK_Titan found Double Rewards

Tuesday, May 24, 2011California

We arrived in South Lake Tahoe yesterday evening. Our plan today was to drive all the way around the lake and enjoy the sights (and caches) on our way. Already when we started planning our three week USA trip in detail in December 2010 we noticed the new Blackwood Canyon trail and thought it would be worth a visit. Well.... It probably is, but the road was still closed by snow, which came as a huge surprise for us. (We are not used to snow in late May as the highest point in our country is something like 560 feet!)

Despite the fact that we had to give up part of our plan we had a great trip around the Lake. The most memorable part was probably our hike up the Eagle Falls trail. What a view from here!!! In addition we enjoyed many other scenic locations on our way around the lake.

This cache was found at 10:46. We also found the Benchmark, so for us it was indeed a double reward. (Or maybe even a triple reward, as this cache happened to be a mini milestone for us: Our find no. 13900 ).

Thanks for the cache and greetings from Denmark!

infoThis is the original cache type consisting, at a bare minimum, a container and a log book. Normally you'll find a tupperware container, ammo box, or bucket filled with goodies, or smaller container ("micro cache") too small to contain items except for a log book. The coordinates listed on the traditional cache page is the exact location for the cache.
