Found it RebelTJ found RebelGTP's Adventure To 1000 Finds!

Sunday, 17 July 2011Illinois

I visited this cache while I was in the area. I am traveling with Phantom Regiment Drum & Bugle Corps http://www.regiment.org this summer and the corps had come home to Rockford for the Annual 'Show of Shows' at Boylan Catholic High School this evening. This means I could come home if even just for a few hours!

I was alerted to the existence of this hide when Smurfy98 picked me up from Boylan after I had arrived this morning at the end of the drive from the Minneapolis area overnight. Naturally, I wanted to go and get it before I went to get some sleep, so she gave me the coordinates and took me to the parking area. She wanted me to find it just as much as I wanted to find it and I am glad that she wanted to share the special moment with me. Originally, I thought that the hide was prepared by her and her alone. To my surprise, I find that the logbook had handwriting in it that was not hers! I was also surprised with photos attached inside that chronicle some of the memorable caching outings that I was blessed with being a part of during the last few months before hitting the triple zeroes. It was at that moment that she told me that she had conspired with Halemeister to make this hide a reality. I found the Cars magnet, Hot Wheels car, Squirt gun, multi-tool, school bus toy, and a special coin inside. I noted what each one relates to when we are talking about my personality. In the end, I grabbed the unactivated coin and the school bus toy to add to my collections. I hope that those who search this cache out and take one of the things I listed above will know that each one signifies part of my personality. I know that Halemeister put seed caches inside as well so please place a cache and credit this one for spawning it.

To Halemeister: Thanks for placing this cache! It means a lot to me that there are people out there that have noticed how I cache and play the game. I am glad and honored to be able to have you in a circle of caching friends that is small but really close. I look forward to the day when you have a triple zero find and the applause that you will get is worth it!

To Smurfy98: I love you so very much and thank you for getting the ball rolling on this hide! I enjoyed having you with me for a good amount of the finds and on this one in particular. I enjoy caching with you and look forward to having you by my side for my 2000th find!

infoThis is the original cache type consisting, at a bare minimum, a container and a log book. Normally you'll find a tupperware container, ammo box, or bucket filled with goodies, or smaller container ("micro cache") too small to contain items except for a log book. The coordinates listed on the traditional cache page is the exact location for the cache.
