Our 1000th cache!!!

It's taken us 311 days exactly since the first cache we found - hopefully we have beaten the UK record for the quickest to 1000 finds as Deego's site shows the current record as 336 days.

19 of 24 on day 5 of a trip to Oxfordshire and Yorkshire on a short caching holiday.

Parked very close to the church and walked up into the churchyard. We'll admit to using the hint as we are not keen on hanging round searching for caches in churchyards as we'd hate to upset any mourners or relatives tending to graves.

Had a quick look round the churchyard before returning to the car for a few final caches on the way home just in case we had mis-counted the finds on the current trip and this is not our 1000th. Luckily our counting was spot on so the extra caches are a bonus .

infoThis is the original cache type consisting, at a bare minimum, a container and a log book. Normally you'll find a tupperware container, ammo box, or bucket filled with goodies, or smaller container ("micro cache") too small to contain items except for a log book. The coordinates listed on the traditional cache page is the exact location for the cache.
