It has become kind of a tradition that we make a geocaching trip to Germany during our autumn vacation. This year we had booked two nights in the “Historisches Landhaus Spannen” near Rendsburg (which we can highly recommend!) The main goal of the trip was the series along the Nord-Ostsee-Kanal.

Today we focused on the second part of the series and required a bit more than eight hours to complete the round. We made a few de-tours to other caches in the area, so we walked a bit more than the 25 km mentioned in the cache description.

Yesterday we had left our dog Titan in the car, in order for him to be full of energy today, and he really enjoyed the walk (although he seemed a bit tired the last four km!). Just like yesterday, the weather was absolutely perfect for caching, but it also meant that the muggle concentration was rather high at some parts of the trail. Nevertheless, we managed to complete the round with only three DNFs.

We ran into the other team Grete5 on two occasions (as they were doing the series in the opposite direction than us). It was nice to share our experiences with them (just like we did yesterday).

This cache was located at 8.28 (16300).

Thanks for the cache and greetings from Denmark!

infoThis is the original cache type consisting, at a bare minimum, a container and a log book. Normally you'll find a tupperware container, ammo box, or bucket filled with goodies, or smaller container ("micro cache") too small to contain items except for a log book. The coordinates listed on the traditional cache page is the exact location for the cache.
