We'd been saving this one up for a while to do as a landmark cache. An interesting bit of history. I'd done a little bit of research and had found the approximate co-ordinates and knew what I was looking for. We thought it was advisable to take the precautions listed on the cache page and had come suitably equipped.
It took us about fifteen minutes to find the hole. We surprised two deer on our walk there and then a pheasant just as we arrived at the GZ.
My son The Bobcat was really keen to be the first one down the hole (I'm glad my wife hadn't come along). It had been raining so it quite slippery on the way down. We were glad we had a rope with us but didn't really need it on the way back up.
We quickly found the date (which I'll be sending in an email) and the cache and took a few pictures.
