Our 1400th find!!!

25 of 29 on a trip to the Peak District with the aim of finding our 1400th cache.

We'd been saving this one for our milestone find as it looked a lovely spot and we really liked the history behind the cache. I'd love to put a cache out for my Granddad too at some point as we had great fun exploring in North Wales when I was younger .

Parked by the pub at the top of the trail and had a lovely walk down to the cache. It's good to stretch our legs after all the drive-by's today.

We rounded the corner at the bottom and were greeted by such a lovely place. This is one of those that you would almost certainly never have found had it not been for geocaching.

Will upload a photo tomorrow when I'm up in the office to prove our find.

TFTC Dave!

infoA virtual cache is a cache that exists in a form of a location. Depending on the cache "hider," a virtual cache could be to answer a question about a location, an interesting spot, a task, etc. The reward for these caches is the location itself and sharing information about your visit.

Because of the nature of these geocaches, you must actually visit the location and acquire the coordinates there before you can post. In addition, although many locations are interesting, a virtual cache should be out of the ordinary enough to warrant logging a visit.

Virtuals are now considered waymarks on Waymarking.com.
