For the third year in a row we are doing a geocaching road trip to the US in the spring. This year we will spend 3½ weeks driving from Las Vegas to Seattle (including a few days just North of the American/Canadian border).

What a day we had today: Completion of the E.T. series, celebration of our 20000 caches milestone in Nevada’s oldest cache and a first finder 5213 miles from home!

After a good night’s sleep in Tonopah we returned to the dirt road and continued along the E.T. trail from cache no. 1051. We celebrated our milestone in XKD-380 which was a nice break from the "in and out of the car". After that we continued with the E.T. caches until we discovered a nearby cache, which had not yet been logged online. It was not that long a hike from the road so we decided to pay the cache a visit. We were rewarded with our first FTF in Nevada as well as a magnificent view from the cache site.

Back at the car we went into power-mode again and completed the E.T. trail. What a great feeling to have managed that! After a few additional finds we headed back to Tonopah for a well deserved dinner.

The day also included encounters with dust devils (for the second day in a row). Both yesterday and today we experienced dust devils slamming the car door (which was left open in order to keep up the caching pace).

What a strange place this is! After returning to Denmark we had a look at Google Earth and were even more puzzled... The cache was located at 18:06.

Thanks for the cache and greetings from Denmark!

infoThis is the original cache type consisting, at a bare minimum, a container and a log book. Normally you'll find a tupperware container, ammo box, or bucket filled with goodies, or smaller container ("micro cache") too small to contain items except for a log book. The coordinates listed on the traditional cache page is the exact location for the cache.
