For the third year in a row we are doing a geocaching road trip to the US in the spring. This year we will spend 3½ weeks driving from Las Vegas to Seattle (including a few days just north of the American/Canadian border).
Today's trip from Evanston, Wyoming to Logan, Utah offered a whole bunch of memorable geocaching experiences. A bit north of Evanston we noticed a new cache (published three days ago), which apparently had not yet been found. It would require a rather long detour (on dirt roads), but we decided to pay it a visit. That resulted in the second first find of the road trip (and our third first find in the US). The trip continued to the beautiful Bear Lake and through the magnificent Logan Canyon, but before entering the canyon we made another detour to Idaho, so that we would achieve cache finds in three states today. The trip through Logan Canyon brought us to Cache county, which seems like an obvious place to go geocaching! We found quite a number of rather lonely caches (which had not been visited for more than half a year). Furthermore, we learned a whole lot about Bear Lake, worm trails, springs and very rare plants thanks to the earthcaches in the area.
This cache was our first find in Idaho. The container was located at 14:59.
Thanks for the cache and greetings from Denmark!
