Found it BaSHful found Swing Lower (Historic Site)

Sunday, 22 July 2012Southern England, United Kingdom

Out and about with my good mate WhiteFriar for a weekend of Mega events: PirateMania on the Saturday and the GeoOlympics on the Sunday. Inevitably we did a few Church Micros and YOSM's plus a spattering of others to contribute towards the many challenges and targets we've set ourselves. Perfect weather throughout together with an absence of DNFs made for an excellent, if exhausting, weekend.

We arrived just as some others were leaving, so got a little (completely unnecessary) pointer as to where it was. At this point (between 11:00am and 11:30am) the cache was approximately in the correct position, though I've subsequently been advised it should have been more central. However, this would have made not the slightest difference to the difficulty, I would just have needed to dangle the ropes in a slightly different location.

It was clearly a popular site, though possibly more so for the adjacent virtual cache, and I soon had an (admiring?) audience for my antics. As an ex rock climber this was not an unduly difficult proposition and the whole operation can't have taken more than half an hour. Very pleasingly this cache completes my terrain/difficulty grid. Have a fav point.

BaSHful.

infoThis is the original cache type consisting, at a bare minimum, a container and a log book. Normally you'll find a tupperware container, ammo box, or bucket filled with goodies, or smaller container ("micro cache") too small to contain items except for a log book. The coordinates listed on the traditional cache page is the exact location for the cache.
