FTF - great cache placement and fun hike earns a fav point from me.

The cache log identified itself as TXGCC13 Monanhans1 even though this cache page says it is cache 2. Could this be why I didn't find cache 1 at its posted coordinates?

The parking instructions are wrong for this cache. You'll want to park at the end of the park road near the oil pump--Pump Jack Picnic Area--at N 31 38.405 W 102 49.156 which is also a good visual landmark because you can see it from the top of the dune just before the cache. We parked in the day use area and it was a 1.13 mile hike one way to GZ.

Please wear a hat and bring water. Sand is really tough to walk long distances in; the terrain rating of 4 seems spot on to me.

This is find #339 and counts as my Ward county cache in the Texas counties challenge.

infoThis is the original cache type consisting, at a bare minimum, a container and a log book. Normally you'll find a tupperware container, ammo box, or bucket filled with goodies, or smaller container ("micro cache") too small to contain items except for a log book. The coordinates listed on the traditional cache page is the exact location for the cache.
