Today was our last day in Mountain Home. During the previous nine days we had spent six days walking in the desert (a distance of well over 200 km so far), and had three more relaxing days, where we visited other caches in the area. Obviously, our main goal of the day was the completion of the Locomotive Geo-Art. The remaining 61 caches were found on a 14,6 km hike which took 3 hours and 42 minutes.

With just a few caches remaining we ran into another geocacher in the desert. We were surprised to see a lady walking alone in the desert and asked her, if she was caching all alone. She replied, that she was part of a group of six geocachers, who were at the same time in different spots... We wonder if each of them only log 1/6th of the caches online!?!

All in all the Locomotive series required 225 km (140 miles) of hiking, which took us about 70 hours. It was a great feeling to be the first team to complete the series.

After signing the last log book in the desert the day was far from over, so we decided to find a few caches in Mountain Home and then continue to a cache series along dirt roads between Mountain Home and Boise (along the Oregon Trail).

This cache was found at 11:44.

Thanks for the cache and greetings from Denmark!

infoThis is the original cache type consisting, at a bare minimum, a container and a log book. Normally you'll find a tupperware container, ammo box, or bucket filled with goodies, or smaller container ("micro cache") too small to contain items except for a log book. The coordinates listed on the traditional cache page is the exact location for the cache.
