Found it The Bolas Heathens found Loynton Moss - Bonus bites

Monday, November 12, 2007West Midlands, United Kingdom

FTF @ 12:45

Saw this one come out last night so thought I'd pop out at lunchtime today to scope the area out in preparation for the main cache coming out later in the week and also to see what possible tricks you could have used on the bonus cache.

I parked as suggested and had a lovely walk round the nature reserve. I did not realise it was so big as we've only been as far as the Alchemy Quest cache before. I particularly liked the Moss itself - very tranquil here today with a lovely scene over the Moss. Lots of wildlife around too which was great.

Without the details from the lid of the main cache I did not hold much hope of actually finding the bonus cache but I stumbled across something that lead me to the first micro and then onward to the main cache.

Some sneaky hides which I really liked. This experienced and perhaps jaded cacher likes these kind of things as it adds something a bit different to our caching.

I left the FTF prize for the next finder as I thought you might prefer the person who takes it to have come direct from the main cache.

As I was getting back into the Jeep I got taking to a volunteer warden about the reserve and he was saying that it's great to see someone without a dog who was here to appreciate the nature as he told me they mainly get dog-walkers (not sure how much truth there is in this but that's what he told me).

Thanks for bringing me to this wonderful place Mark & Lynn.

Self portrait with the cache

infoA Mystery Cache is the “catch-all” of cache types, this form of cache can involve complicated puzzles you will first need to solve to determine the coordinates. The only commonality of this cache type is that the coordinates listed are not of the actual cache location but a general reference point, such as a nearby parking location. Due to the increasing creativity of geocaching this becomes the staging ground for new and unique challenges.
