We have a tradition of making a geocaching trip to Germany every year in the middle of October (during the Danish autumn holiday). This year we decided to spend the time in the area around Kiel and Lübeck. Yesterday we had a very rainy start of the trip, but luckily the weather was much better today.
When planning our route from Kiel to Lübeck we discovered, that caches in the area around Eutin tended to have many favorite points. Furthermore, there seemed to be good possibilities for a nice walk (which is our preferred way of geocaching). Thus, our expectations were high when we parked our car near the first cache of the "nendzi´s -Schleich-Weg" series. After a pleasant walk of approximately 11 km we returned to our car. We moved the car a few kilometers and had another nice walk around the Sibbersdorfer See. According to our GPS that round trip was around 13 km. The last part of this walk was done in the darkness (and we had to leave a few caches unfound due to this fact).
As mentioned above, our expectations were high, but nevertheless, the caches exceeded our expectations! It's great to see, that it is possible to make memorable caches without having to make them extremely difficult (or placing them in dangerous locations).
This cache was found at 10:29. This was a mini milestone for us: Our find no. 29500.
Thanks for the cache and for giving us a memorable day!
