The rain was getting even worse if anything on the way to this one. However we were spurred on by the knowledge that there were some caches up ahead that Natterjacktoad and CroquetMike hadn't found.

By the time we got to this one we were thoroughly miserable (my daughter was pointing out that it would be better if I had a coat with a hood and I silently agreed) so a FTF here cheered us up no end. A quick find in the first place I looked.

I remember reading a CroquetMike log once where he described geocaching on the wettest night ever. I'm sure this morning would run it close.

Walking on after this one we could hear shotguns firing in the distance. What kind of idiots would be firing guns in this weather? Would they prevent us from completing the series?

infoA Mystery Cache is the “catch-all” of cache types, this form of cache can involve complicated puzzles you will first need to solve to determine the coordinates. The only commonality of this cache type is that the coordinates listed are not of the actual cache location but a general reference point, such as a nearby parking location. Due to the increasing creativity of geocaching this becomes the staging ground for new and unique challenges.
