Found it BaSHful found Several Species Of Small Furry Animals

Monday, 03 March 2008South East England, United Kingdom

I'd done "Have you seen my baby?" on Saturday and was in the unusual position of having the co-ords and info for a cache that hadn't yet been published! Having completed the FTF on "Dorking's Secret Garden" I'd switched on the computer and was preparing to log when it occurred to be to check the situation. No notification (it's really hit and miss what I get!) so I check Nutter's profile page. It's there! Quickly print off the page though it transpires there's no additional useful information. My gear is already in the boot of the car so it's off back out.

Park up and switch on the GPS. It squawks at me and dies. Change the batteries and it springs back into life. Hoist rucksack on to back and set off. Now at this point I need to start being careful what I say so as to give nothing away. It is indeed quite challinging 'just getting to the start'. It is not helped by the co-ords (by my GPS) being something like 60 to 80 feet out, though not that much of a hinderance either (you'll understand when you're there). Having found the object referred too it's time to do the serious bit.

Gear up and set off, mostly on faith as I've still not located the cache and am hoping that all will become clear soon. Thankfully I soon spot the little beastly's hiding spot and from then on it's relatively plain sailing. Sign the virgin log and tuck everything back carefully. Now it's just at matter of reversing what I've just done! In a little while this is achieved (or I wouldn't be writing this log) and after packing up I pause a while in the last of the evening sun to admire the view. It's a nice spot.

infoA multi-cache ("multiple") involves two or more locations, the final location being a physical container. There are many variations, but most multi-caches have a hint to find the second cache, and the second cache has hints to the third, and so on. An offset cache (where you go to a location and get hints to the actual cache) is considered a multi-cache.
